BuddhiBox January 2016 Review
Looooooove BuddhiBox’s new packaging!
WOOT, it’s BuddhiBox unboxing day! New to BB? It’s catered to peeps who enjoy yoga, healthy living, and mindfulness. This subscription box is set up so that each month you’ll receive 4-6 thoughtfully curated products (samples and full sized items) from ethically-sourced and socially conscious companies. BuddhiBox also chooses a charity to donate proceeds to each month.
There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $30.95/month. The sample size is $11.95/month. Btw, you can peep my past BuddhiBox reviews here.
This month’s goodie box, which I’ll delve into in just a bit, also came with a BuddhiBox info card with a inspirational Tristan Prettyman quote on the back, a recipe for Roasted Tomato Soup (yummers!!), and an instructional card for Tadasana a.k.a. Mountain Pose (love saving these!)… so many cute lil’ extras!
January’s BuddhiBox included:
Anahata Bracelet by Levals,* $21 – I’ve been obsessively collecting bracelets with healing gemstones lately. Some women live for shoes, some live for chocolate, but I live for these yogi bracelets (and chocolate)! This gorgeous arm candy features green adventurine (inspires creativity & courage), lepidolite (self-love, patience & optimism), and rudraksha (harmony, health & prosperity). It’s a stunning piece of jewelry, and I seriously want to wear it 24/7.
Everyday Tote by North Detail, $14 – This is totes up my alley! A PMA sentiment + a bag to carry all my beloved sh*t in = yasssssssss!!!
Australian Gold Kiwi Mango Body Wash by Hemp Nation, $2.50 – I worship all things hemp! I’m stoked to try this yummy & fruity, tropical hemp seed oil-infused body wash (take me away to the Caribbean, please!). It’s loaded with antioxidants and vitamins, and it’s the perfect size for travel, too.
Lavender Lime Body Balm by Co-Pur, $15 – While this rich body balm sounds like a dreamy winter skin essential, unfortunately it contains beeswax and isn’t vegan. Heads up, Buddhibox is very clear when it comes to labeling which items are vegan in their box, which I give them mad props for. I believe this is the first time I’ve actually received a non-vegan item. I’ll be gifting this to one of my gal pals. (I will say that it smells fantastic, though!)
Ganesh Journal by Mandala Publishing,* $18.95 – Ok, I love this journal SO hard! I’m actually half East Indian and Ganesh is one of my favorite Hindu gods (Lord of Thresholds, remover of obstacles, and deity of beginnings). This sturdy hardcover leatherette-cased journal is absolutely gorgeous, inside and out. I’ve been meaning up my journaling game, and now I have zero excuse to get the ball rollin’.
Herbal Zap! sample – This is an instantly dissolving Ayurvedic beverage with a combination of 14 powerful herbal extracts designed to detox, aid in digestion, boost immunity, and support the respiratory system. I certainly can’t say no to that. I can see myself buying a whole box of these, especially for this time of year.

Overall impression: This box is valued over $70, which is pretty typical of BuddhiBox! BB always kills it each month, and January’s box is no exception. I’m pretty nuts about all the items but my heart especially pitter-patters for the Ganesh journal and Anahata bracelet. Dang, seriously can’t get over how AMAZE this month’s box is.
I highly recommend giving BuddhiBox a try – quality mindful products, amazing value. It would make a great gift for a friend, loved one, or yourself! They also have a fantastic online shop if there’s a specific item you’ve got your eye on.
